Dr. Moez Kallell’s post-op instructions

Following cosmetic surgery in Tunisia, there are a number of things you should do to ensure your convalescence goes smoothly.
Mon voyage santé, in partnership with Dr. Moez Kallel, has put together a list of essential steps to take:

Generally speaking, it’s important to stay well hydrated and eat healthily to stay in good health. Dr. Moez Kallel reminds you that this is all the more true and essential when it comes to convalescence after cosmetic surgery in Tunisia. In fact, drinking at least 2 liters of water a day and providing your body with the essential nutrients it needs will help you to more easily eliminate any impurities generated by the operation, reduce pain and improve the healing process.

Cosmetic surgery is still surgery

Your body has been put to the test, and you need rest more than anything. Resume light physical activity without putting any pressure on the operated area(s) from 4 weeks after the date of your operation, not before.

In the meantime, don’t exert any force, don’t make any sudden movements, don’t lift anything heavy, arrange for assistance at home if you have children, avoid driving for the first two weeks and always prefer the position indicated by Dr. Moez Kallel.

To avoid any problems of infection or poor healing, you need to keep your wounds dry: Dr. Moez Kallel is very insistent on this point.
In other words, up to 4 weeks after your operation, prefer light showers to baths.
For up to 6 months after the operation, avoid long periods of immersion in water, i.e. swimming in pools, spas or saunas.

Post-operative care must be provided by paramedical professionals. They are the only ones able to provide you with the care you need to avoid any complications. For this reason, you should work with a state-qualified nurse to organize regular visits to your home. He/she will provide the care you need to recover (dressing, cleaning, disinfection). You should expect a visit every day until the stitch removal date recorded on your medical record.

If your surgery requires it, plan to see a physiotherapist to perform manual lymph drainage 2 or 3 times a week for at least 1 month.
In all cases, strictly adhere to Dr. Moez Kallel’s prescription.

Long-term stabilization

To stabilize the results of your cosmetic surgery and avoid further pain, we will provide you with a bra and/or support girdle immediately after your operation, which you should wear morning and night for at least 1 month. In the case of compression stockings, these should be removed as soon as you arrive home.
